Q: When and How do I get my photos after the session?
A: You will receive your photos by email, and they will be linked to a PIXIESET gallery. Depending on the package you purchased you will get a promo code that will allow you to download the amount of digital images that come in that package. You will add the amount of digital photos to your cart then go to "check out" and enter the promo code provided. You will get the amount of images in your package free of charge, any additional images that you choose will be $5/per digital image. There will also be a discounted price if you wish to purchase the entire gallery of images, as I usually produce a gallery of 30+ images and most packages only have 10-20 images included in the package price. A zip file will be sent to you via email. Please make sure you save and backup your images on your laptop and/or desktop computer as I will only have your files for 90 days after the link has been activated with a log in.
Q: When do I pay? What Payment type do you accept?
A: Depending on the session, there may be a deposit due to hold your date. Payments can be made online, via VENMO, ZELLE, cash or check.
Q: Do you have a contract?
A: YES! I have a contract/model release agreement and I require that everyone that books a session with me fills it out and signs the agreement.
Q: When will I receive my photos?
A: You will receive your photos within 15-30 BUSINESS days. *This does not apply to wedding clients whose galleries take 6-8 weeks to deliver.
Q: What is your travel radius?
A: My travel radius is anywhere more than 20 miles outside of Frederick (21774 zip code). Please inquire if your location is outside my radius to get a travel price quote.
Q: Do you have a limit in number of people for your family sessions?
A: No, I don't want to make it any harder for families with more than the average number of children, whatever that may be. However, my family session only includes parents and children...if you are adding grandparents, cousins, a friend, or anyone else, I will charge additionally as the session will be longer and I will have to add more shots and poses of you all together as well as separate you all into various groups. My extended family shoots are a completely different package and price as I unlock the gallery and give you the rights to all the digital edited images to make it easier for you all.
Q: Do you provide sneak peeks?
A: I try to provide an uploaded sneak peak onto my website or Social media page. Sneak Peeks are not guaranteed due to my busy schedule but more often then not, I try to get my clients a picture to get excited about their gallery to come!
Q: Can I have the RAW photos?
A: No, unfortunately I do not offer RAW photos under any circumstance. Please don't ask, I hate having to say no and upset my clients but please understand that these photos are an art to me and have my name and image linked to them. You hired me because you like my style and my edits so please trust that I will provide you with any and all your family photos that are print worthy. This is why my galleries typically consist of more photos and even a lot of similar images. I do this because my favorite group photo of your family may be different than your favorite.
Q: Can we Reschedule ?
A: Yes, rescheduling is ok, believe me I understand that life happens. I will reschedule our session due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond my control. *Some non-refundable fees may be charged for canceled weddings or weekend shoots.
Q: Reshoots and Refunds
A: Reshoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Reshoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, makeup, hair or uncooperative children.
Q: Do you have any specific requests ?
A: The Session starts at the agreed upon time. It is strongly encouraged that client arrives a few minutes prior to the start of session. This allows for any last minute feeding, changing, and relaxing before session begins.
Please make sure faces are clean and free of runny
noses or eyes.
Q: Will I get all My photos ? What if I Remember a photo but it wasn't in my gallery ?
A: The final post production and editing styles, effects, and overall look of the images are left to the discretion of the photographer. If the image wasn't in your gallery it didn't make the cut because it wasn't up to my quality standard. Special requests for altering images such as special editing and or special requests can be done with a small fee of ($10.00 dollars per image) because man it can take some serious time to edit these images.
Q: What do I wear?
A: I always suggest wearing neutral colors. Bright colors tend to distract your eyes from the photographs and may seem to be trendy now, but when taking family pictures, it's always better to remain timeless, so that you can look back years down the road and focus on the moment and not shake your head and wonder, "what were we thinking with those outfits!" I put some Pinterest examples below of some neutrals as well as other colors that work great for shoots!
